Clinical Research Networking Event: February 2022 GLSA Recap
February 16, 2022
The clinical research networking event hosted by Global Life Sciences Alliance (GLSA) and FOCM on February 16, 2022 brought together professionals across drug and medical device development for learning, discussion, and connection. Special thanks to FOCM member and super-connector Nadia Bracken for helping expand our community by sharing the event.
The evening began with informal introductions and light conversation, including discussions about winter weather conditions across attendees’ locations. This relaxed opening set the tone for open dialogue and connection.
Clinical Research Networking Event Highlights
This clinical research networking event featured a short educational presentation followed by open discussion and peer networking. The featured presentation was delivered by Kalyan Ghosh, Founder and CEO of Inference, Inc., (https://inferenceinc.com/) a GLSA client. Founded in 2017, Inference brings deep expertise in biostatistics and data-driven decision-making to clinical research. Kalyan shared insights from his more than 25 years in the industry, including leadership roles at Merck, Bristol Myers Squibb, and multiple CROs. His presentation highlighted the critical role of biostatistics and data management in drug development and how these disciplines support better trial design and outcomes.
The session concluded with discussion and networking, reinforcing the value of shared learning and collaboration within the GLSA community.
The next GLSA | FOCM networking event will take place on March 16 at 7:00 PM EST. The featured presenter will be Wessam Sonbol, CEO of Delve Health, who will discuss patient-centered hybrid and decentralized clinical trial approaches.
