Ingredients:
For the Meatballs

1 lb ground beef or a mix of ground beef and pork

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
For the Tomato Sauce

2 cups canned crushed tomatoes (or tomato sauce)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)

1 teaspoon sugar (optional, to balance acidity)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

First, in a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
