So, it happened again! – And here are the minutes of the virtual networking event held on July 21, 2021. The GLSA (Global Life Sciences Alliance) and FOCM (Friends of Chris Matheus) Networking organization held an online (virtual) networking event. The event went really well, we had a total of 22 attendees.
The meeting started off with a brief review of the event we held on June 16th and because my GLSA colleagues like the idea of a theme, I announced that it was UV Safety Awareness Day.
The agenda and guidelines for how these meetings are run was explained. Chris then introduced the GLSA members to the FOCM community.
After a bit of general discussion and introductions we had our Zoom Room Administrator, Brandon randomly send the attendees into rooms of ~4 people per room for 12 minutes and then we’d come back to the main room – share anything of interest and then get re-shuffled to other rooms.
Then it was time to head to the break out rooms, where everyone is to introduce themselves, their employer, where they’ve worked in the past and then see how they could be of mutual help.
Good information was exchanged and several new connections were made which can improve the management of clinical trials.
We have our social networking events every month! Contact Zulma Varela for an invitation.
